Maeve McKenna

Maeve is a freelance TVC director who specialises in emotionally charged commercials, often featuring non-actors.

Her background in the factual world has laid a solid foundation for bringing out emotion in every TVC and allowed her to develop a clear process for making every day people feel comfortable on camera. Her clients include Griffith University, Youi Insurance and PwC. She was proud to be nominated for a BADC Directing award for her Netball QLD commercial, which starred a young, refugee netball player named Binta.

The strength of Maeve's storytelling is rooted in her curiosity for people and her constant interactions with people from all walks of life. This has brought a strong sense of nuance, honesty and empathy to her directing that allows her to dig deep.
